Plan a visit to Headwaters at Banner Elk

Walk in our shoes….Stay and Play a little while at Headwaters

You've seen who we are online, but living the dream for real is the only way you can truly experience Headwaters. Nothing beats hearing the rush of a waterfall, feeling the cool breeze across one's face or watching deer and wild turkey roam the woods, trails, and roads of Headwaters.

While Headwaters does not conduct any rental business what so ever, some owners allow families interested in real estate as well as owners who are busy building new homes to stay in their personal Villas and Cottages.  Many ask what they should bring.  Think of these homes as a best friends.  There’s condiments in the fridge, Salt and pepper and cooking spices on the counter, a half pack of open crackers in the cupboard, and probably a few private bottles of wine on a rack or in the fridge.  Oh’ yeah’…. and family pictures everywhere.  Treat these items and family keepsakes like you would a best friends, because they just might become that one day.  Some owners ask from $100 to $200 per night plus a one-time cleaning fee to help cover some expense.  It’s not about the money.  It’s about sharing in the Headwaters Experience.  We’re very grateful these owners love and want to share Headwaters like they do.  Thanks guys.

While on the property, Headwaters is your home.  Hike your trails, canoe your lakes, fish Rainbow Trout, catch a movie at the club house, work out at the fitness center, try a game of pool or ping pong, or explore and camp out in one of the many community parks.  Heck, maybe take a nap with a favorite book out on the deck while everyone else does these things.  It’s life your way while you’re here.

We don’t require you spend half your day with some sales person.  Living the dream does all the selling.  While there is no obligation to buy something, please don’t think we’re here for rental accommodations or the income.  We and our owners are here to help provide the opportunity to live a dream and maybe make it reality for you and your family.  Come experience what life is really like as a family here because you just might become an owner at Headwaters in the near future.

If you are flying, you can fly into Tri-Cities Airport in Johnson City, Tennessee (50 minutes away) or Asheville Regional Airport in Asheville (1:50 minutes) or Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte (2.5 hours).  Rental cars are readily available at any airports.  Got your own plane?  Private general aviation fly into the Elizabethton, TN Municipal Airport located 30 minutes away.  Whether driving or flying, The Headwaters is within easy reach.
