The Headwaters Featured in High Country Home Magazine
One of the greatest testimonies of the success of a new development is when property owners who bought lots in years past begin to build their own home. When someone who paid $200,000 two years ago, commits another $700,000 to build a house, that makes a statement. Since June 2006, twelve such houses have been built, and several more have been approved by the Architectural Committee at The Headwaters.

The Headwaters Featured in Leading Mountain Magazine
The Headwaters at Banner Elk is featured in a full-length article in Pinnacle Living Mountain Homes Magazine. Mountain Homes is the premier mountain real estate & lifestyle publication in the Southeast. “We are very happy about being so prominently featured in Mountain Homes as it validates what we have worked so hard to accomplish”, said developer John Haynes. The Headwaters Featured in Building Trade Magazine
The Headwaters at Banner Elk was featured in the pages of Builder/Architect Magazine, which in and of itself is a major endorsement. John Haynes, the developer says, “It is not every community that gets scrutinized by their peers in the building industry, but to then be featured and held up as one worthy for consideration, is quite a feather in our cap.” On the cover, John and wife Josephine are shown at the entrance to Headwaters Lakeside Park.
